During a recent interview with HIGHCUT Red Velvet revealed that they did not expect themselves to win first place.
When they were asked if they expected much popularity for a ballad track which was released on a sunny spring day member Wendy answered, “No matter what the concept is we don’t just come out expecting to grab a #1 trophy. We wanted to show fans that we can digest such a concept as well. This time we came back showing a brand new side of us, so rather than thinking, ‘It has to be successful’, we wanted to tell people who knew us as a rather bright and vivid group that we can digest a calm, ballad concept.”
Meanwhile Red Velvet has wrapped up their promotions with a goodbye stage held last week on SBS’ Inkigayo. Let’s wait patiently for their next comeback!
